Welcome back to another issue of PhotoImpact's newsletter!  The board continues to evolve; you'll see moving and renamed forums.  Don't fret if your favorite comes up missing—likely it's been combined with another one or two in some fashion.  Let us know what you think when you see a change that particularly piques your interest.

Of course we are each a winner in someone's eyes but here at PI-I we have two to recognize today.  Pauline (coldwetnoz) is our Forum of the Month contest winner in February.  You can view her image in the sidebox on the board.  In the Valentine's Day contest Rebecca (Rubberstmpr) created the winning card.  Congratulations, Ladies!

We would also like to thank everyone who participated in the Beginner's Workshop Valentine's contest.  We had hearts all over the Extra-Curricular Activities forum!  Don't forget that you can visit and give encouragement to beginning PI'ers anytime you like if you're a BW alum.

The new "Featured Forum" scheme will feature a different forum every month.  Create whatever you want in that forum for the month it is featured, as long as it stays with the theme of the forum.  Participants will be given a number; the lucky number drawn will receive a PI-I Certificate and the entry will be featured in the sideboxes on the main board for the entire next month.

• Birgit reminds you that Photo Magic isn't just for the Photo Talks, Effect Plays, and other challenges she posts, but she welcomes any photo manipulations you've done; the only stipulation is that it's a product of PhotoImpact.

• At the Animation Station Edna would like you to know that animation may be done in any program that works on your computer.  If GA is no longer an option, take a look in the AS for a list of alternative gif animators.  Then get moving!

• The Dynamic Path Forum (DPO) is the Forum of the Month for March.  It welcomes Beginners to the Advanced PhotoImpacters to explore, learn, create, grow and above all to have fun with path shapes!  We host a weekly challenge that changes every Sunday.  Here are the upcoming challenges for 2009.  Objects shared in the weekly challenge are posted on the DPO website, however if you wish to participate in a challenge it is not mandatory that your objects be shared—just let us know.

• The Scrapbooking Forum has a new name to better reflect its mission.  What's that? Go see :-)

Easter is coming up and that means a bevy of pastel challenges in the forums... and who knows what else might be percolating in the minds of mods?

Sparrow and Bear wish you to know about their recent undertaking, Community.  This ongoing project is a work in progress that will soon be your go-to clearinghouse for graphics, computer and website information and links.  And there is a favorite page, one with the buttons and websites of the individual members of the PI community.  If your button is not there, please send it to either Bear or Sparrow along with the URL to which is should be linked.

Remember that PI-I Supporters get six months free webhosting with their subscription.  This is a great way to try out having your very own space on the 'Net.  Should you decide to keep it, VAA-sites has reasonably-priced packages for your consideration.  Part of the proceeds supports PI-I!

Here's a new thing you may not know about: the PhotoImpact International Tutorial Database.  Looking for a tutorial?  You may search by keyword, author, or even program as there are some 1600 tutorials in there, including 350 for PSP.  Happy Hunting!

That PI-I has its own Chat Room?  You'll see a link in one of the sideboxes on the board.  Click on the link there and you'll see the Chat Rooms themselves—the Lounge, Scrapbooking, where there are regularly-scheduled chats, and Tech, particularly helpful for real-time help!
